2. Information Collected
To use our Service, the Company will require all users to provide the Company with information including the user’s name, company name, email address, clients’ names, clients’ energy account details, and further information required to enable the user to provide services to its clients. To make a payment for the Service, the Company will also require the user’s credit details or payment information.
3. Use of Information Collected
The Company uses the information it gathers from users to perform and bill for the Service. For instance, the Company will use the email provided in the registration process in order to send service information such as welcome emails, updates, and newsletters.
The Company collects information under the user’s direction and the Company will have no direct relationship with the individuals or company whose data the user provides to the Service. The Company may transfer personal information to companies that help it provide the Service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the provisions in this policy regarding “Sharing of Information Collected.”
The Company has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Company’s client (the data collector). If the client requests the Company to remove the data, the Company will respond to this request within 30 business days.
The Company may also use data in aggregate for marketing purposes, such as determine and advertise how many quote requests have been sent across the entire system. However, no individual or customer-identifiable information will be used for marketing.
4. Website Information
Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking user’s movements around the site and to gather user experience information about our users and CurrentHub as a whole.
The Company will encrypt the transmission of information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Additionally, the Company follows generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to it, both during transmission and once it is received. The Company uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, emailing, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Service. 5. Sharing of Information Collected
The Company retains the right to share your information with the proper authorities, as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal mechanism. If the Company disclosures information to a third party, which the Company, in good faith, believes is necessary to protect the Company’s rights, protect the safety of the user or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request, the Company will take reasonable steps in order to obtain the prior consent of the user.
When a user adds an account, the user authorizes CurrentHub to scrape the usage through the associated utility (i.e., ComEd’s PowerPath). No other account-related information, such as service address, is shared.
When a user submits a quote request, CurrentHub aggregates the form’s data, including account number(s) and service address(es), and only shares them with the suppliers explicitly selected by the user. No other suppliers or brokers will be notified of a quote request or refresh.
Quote Responses from Suppliers
A supplier may choose to respond to a quote request via email or via the Service. Such follow-up interactions between user and supplier may be tracked by CurrentHub but will not be shared among other users.
This Privacy Statement sets forth the information CurrentHub collects on the Company’s Web sites and the information it shares with third parties. CurrentHub does not authorize the collection of personal information by third parties through advertising technologies deployed on the Company's Web sites, nor does it share personal information with any third parties collected from the Company's Web sites, except as provided in this Privacy Statement. Section 4 of this Privacy Statement, Website Information, specifically addresses the information CurrentHub collects through cookies and web beacons, and how the user can control cookies through Web browsers.
Unless described in this Privacy Statement, CurrentHub does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with third parties for its promotional purposes.
CurrentHub uses a third-party service provider to manage credit card processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use billing information except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on the Company’s behalf.
If the user or the user’s customer’s information changes or the user no longer desires the Company’s service, the user may correct, update, or delete that information by making the change on the user’s profile page or by contacting the Company at email@example.com. The Company will respond to this request to access personal information within 15 business days.
7. Termination of Service
The Company will retain the user’s information and personal data that is processed for as long as the user’s account is active or as needed to provide the user services. If the user wishes to cancel the user’s account or request that the Company no longer access the user’s information, the user must contact the Company at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the case of the termination of services at the request of the user, the Company will retain and use the information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
